Support a Program In Your Area!
To ensure the kids in your community have full bellies over the weekend, you can help provide hunger-free weekends a child this school year. Help Blessings in a Backpack send kids home on Fridays with a backpack full of satisfying and nutritional food. For $150, or $13 a month, you can help provide food for one child every weekend of the school year!

More than 13 million kids in America are at risk of going hungry on the weekends. That is one in six children who struggles to access food for the 65 hours they are not at school. With assistance and support from our staff, you will receive the tools you need to start a program and feed the kids this weekend in your community.
Since 2009, Blessings in a Backpack has grown from feeding 9,022 to 89,579 kids this year! In areas where we’ve reached a certain size, Blessings in a Backpack has launched official chapters to help coordinate regional strategies and efforts, under the leadership of a managing director and in partnership with a local advisory board.
