WHAT WE DO

Blessings in a Backpack mobilizes communities, individuals, and resources to provide food on the weekends for school-aged children across America who might otherwise go hungry.

About Us

How It Works

At Blessings in a Backpack, we do one simple thing: we raise money to buy food, we pack it in kids’ backpacks, and kids leave school on Fridays with food for the weekend.

During the 2021–2022 school year, we provided more than 3.1 million hunger-free weekends for children nationwide.
